I Couldn't Do It :O(

As anyone can see I wasn't able to keep up with my painting for more than 2 weeks. I just became very overwhelmed with things in my personal life. I'm still dealing with those things. I imagine one of these days I will pick up my paints and brushes again, I just don't see it happening any day in the near future. I have too many things on my plate at the moment that are more important and need to be taken care of. I promise once I start to paint again I will post the pictures here. Until then...take care.

Week Two Painting Two

Wooo hooo! I've made it 2 weeks in a row! This week I chose to do my little Wild Child Zachary. He's a bundle of energy and a barrel of laughs. I have a feeling this one is going to be the class clown. He loves making us laugh and mauling the poor dog. I think he'll either be a comedian or a rock star when he grows up....anything that will help him get the ladies! LOL!

Week One Painting One

OMG!! I did it!! I finished a painting in a week!! I know it's my first one but for me this is an accomplishment! I started with Calvin because he's my first born and my mini me. We are very much alike, it's kind of scary sometimes. He's very smart, funny, creative and DRAMATIC. I can't believe I've never painted him before! I'm so proud of myself because I think it truly looks a lot like him....and maybe a little like Barack Obama! LOL! Let me know what you think!

In the Beginning

The above slideshow is most of my work from through the years. My paintings were usually inspired by people from my life. It didn't matter how long or short you were apart of my world, if you inspired me to paint you usually got the painting. There were a few that were given away before I had a chance to photograph them :o( Below are a couple that were too risque for Photobucket so they couldn't be in the slideshow.

Now it's time to start adding to my portfolio (I feel funny calling it that). I am starting with Calvin. He's 8 years old now and believe it or not I have never done a painting of him. Not for lack of inspiration mind you but because of lack of time and energy. I'm making it a point to find the time and energy now and I'll post it here when I'm done.
